New Testament Mega Bundle

This felt storyboard bundle will allow you to tell most of the stories from the New Testament.   Start with Jesus’ birth in a manger with angels announcing the good news to the shepherds.   Jesus can then be baptized in the river and call his 12 disciples by the shores of the Sea of Galilee.  He can meet with the Canaanite woman by the well and feed 5,000 with a little boys’ lunch.  A short man named Zacchaeus can give up his money booth to follow Jesus.  Jesus can walk on water and heal the lame.  Later, he can stand trial before Pilate and be condemned to death on a cross.  His body can be placed in the tomb and the stone rolled in front.  Three days later, the woman coming to the tomb with their jar of spices can find an angel standing at an empty tomb.  A few weeks later, while the disciples are gathered in the upper room, tongues of fire can visibly descend on them as they receive the Holy Spirit.  All these stories and more can be told using this Felt & Flannel bundle.

This bundle contains the board, bags and backgrounds that will be used for all Felt & Flannel Bible stores as well as the specific pieces needed for Jesus’ life, ministry, death and resurrection.

The foundational piece is the double-sided flannel board.  One side is black and the other is blue.  This board will be used for all Felt & Flannel stories.  Three different backgrounds provide you with outdoor settings for Bible stories.  Storyboard figures can be stored inside the mesh storage bag, and everything fits inside the zippered carrying case.  Additional storyboards can also fit inside the case in their mesh bags.

I tried to make this set with as much play value as possible.  Many of the pieces can serve more than one purpose:

• The water background can be placed behind the green grass for a small pond or the seaside can be placed on the water background for a larger body of water with a shore.
• The flannel tree and bushes are double sided (olive green on one side and apple green on the other)
• The river doubles as a path
• The stable is a house on the other side.
• The people can go inside the boat, and fish go inside the net. The net can either hang from the front of the boat or be attached to a person’s wrist.
• The tomb can also be a cave that you can put people in or flip it over for a mountain.
• The people are like paper dolls in that they come naked and have hair on the back side of their heads. You can turn them around to make them face away from the viewer.  Just put the clothes on backwards to make it seem like the back side of a person.  Change the person’s clothing and they can play a different role in your story.  The people are approximately 4” tall.   People have either light or medium skin tones.

NOTE:  This bundle is a combination of Board, Bags and Backgrounds, Christmas and Easter play set and Jesus’ Ministry Years companion set.  Other companion sets that would be helpful for telling these stories include:  The Priesthood, Indoor Room and City Walls/Tower.  Add the Genesis completer set, and you can also tell the stories of Genesis.

Warning: This product contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3 or who put things in their mouths.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

This product is handmade from acrylic felt, cotton flannel, fabric paint, fabric glue, fusible adhesive, yarn, netting and cotton string.  The Felt & Flannel story board pieces can be gently washed by hand and placed flat on a towel to dry as needed.  If the layers of the pieces start to delaminate, cover any fabric paint with a piece of parchment paper and iron for about 5 seconds with an iron set to “acrylic” to re-activate the adhesive.
