Board, Bags and Backgrounds

Description

This is the basic equipment needed for any of the Felt & Flannel play sets.  The foundational piece is the double-sided flannel board.  One side is black and the other is blue.  This board will be used for all Felt & Flannel stories.  Two different backgrounds provide you with outdoor settings for stories.  The water can be placed behind the grass to show a small lake or pond or used on its own to show a flood.  The back side of the water background is sand for those desert scenes.  The river is a road on the opposite side, and the flannel tree and bushes are olive green on one side and apple green on the other.

A removable two-pocket mesh storage bag is perfect for organizing all your story-board pieces.  Everything fits inside the carrying case.  Additional play sets will also fit inside this carrying case.

CONTENTS:

• 1 double-sided (blue and black) flannel board (13” x 20 ½”)
• 1 water/sand background and 1 grass background
• 1 river/road, 1 double-sided felt & flannel tree
• 2 double-sided flannel bushes, and 1 dark green spiky bush
• 1 large (12” x 14”) carrying case with handle and 1 mesh storage bag with two pockets

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

This product is handmade from acrylic felt, cotton flannel, fabric paint, fabric glue, and fusible adhesive.  The board is made from foam core board and cotton flannel.  The Felt & Flannel story board pieces can be gently washed by hand and placed flat on a towel to dry as needed.  If the layers of the pieces start to delaminate, cover any fabric paint with a piece of parchment paper and iron for about 5 seconds with an iron set to “acrylic” to re-activate the adhesive.   If the flannel pieces (sand/water or bushes) start to fray, iron for about 7 seconds with an iron set to “acrylic” and trim the frayed edges with sharp scissors.
