This set of 22 figures comes in a sturdy plastic tote and allows you to tell the most important New Testament Stories. It is a combination of 5 other Kits: Clothespin Nativity: Economy, Visit of the Magi, Israelite Men, Israelite Women and Children, and Easter Story. The following characters and props are included: Mary, Joseph, two angels, baby Jesus in a manger, shepherd with a sheep, free standing star, three magi with gifts, 5 Israelite men, 2 prayer shawls, 2 Israelite women, one boy, one girl, Pontius Pilate, Roman soldier with armor, Mary Magdelene, Jesus, jar of ointment, cross, purple robe, crown of thorns, and instructions for making a paper mache tomb.
The dolls in this kit range from easy to moderately difficult to make. Some hand stitching is required. You can choose to either glue (easier) or sew (looks better and allows you to change the dolls’ clothes) most of the clothes. Some fabrics are slippery and a bit difficult to work with.
Tools required: sharp scissors (to cut fabric), straight pins, regular scissors (to cut things other than fabric), hot glue gun and glue sticks, tacky glue, paint brush, needle and thread, iron, and a sewing machine (optional).
